जय माँ भभौंरी
जोगिन्दरनगर से करीब 35 किलोमीटर दूर एहजू-बसाही सड़क में खजूर और नगौण गाँव के साथ लगती सिकंदरधार की सुंदर पहाड़ी में स्थित है माँ भभौरी का प्राचीन मंदिर. चारों ओर से घिरे काफल, बुरांस व बान के घने जंगल माँ के मंदिर की शोभा को बढ़ाते हैं. यहाँ घने जंगल में मोर की मीठी गूँज से वातावरण भक्तिमय हो जाता है. मंदिर कमेटी के प्रधान बृज मोहन ठाकुर और माता भमभोरी युवा मोर्चा के निर्माण कर्ता अरुण कुमार से हुई बातचीत के दौरान बताया कि सन 1905 में आए विनाशकारी भूकम्प में यह मंदिर तहस -नहस हो गया था. माँ भभौरी को भरमौरी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है क्योंकि किवदंती के अनुसार माँ भभौरी भरमौर से यहाँ इस सुंदर पहाड़ी में आकर विराजमान हुई थी.

भरमौरी माँ के नाम से भी है प्रसिद्ध
किवदंती के अनुसार माँ भभौरी भरमौर से यहाँ आई थी तब माँ का नाम भरमौरी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध था लेकिन धीरे -धीरे यह नाम बदलकर अब भमभोरी के नाम से विख्यात है. लडभड़ोल के नगोण गाँव और खजूर गाँव के साथ लगती सुंदर पहाड़ी और इसकी छटा को देखकर माँ यहाँ विराजमान हुई थीं. तभी से ही माँ स्थानीय लोगों की आराध्य देवी के रूप में पूजी जाती है और माँ सभी भक्तों की रक्षा करती हैं.
माता भभौंरी को हिन्दू सांस्कृतिक और धार्मिक परंपरा में पार्वती देवी का एक अवतार माना जाता है। हिन्दू पौराणिक कथाओं में, पार्वती देवी शिव भगवान की सहधर्मिणी हैं। माता भभौंरी को पार्वती के प्रति एक पवित्र रूप के रूप में पूजा जाता है, जिसमें इस देवी के साथ जुड़े दिव्य गुण और महत्व होता है। भक्तिगन मानते हैं कि माता भमभोरी की पूजा करना सीधे पार्वती माता की कृपा और आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने के समान है। माता भमभोरी के साथ जुड़े इस पवित्रता और श्रद्धाभाव का मौलिक सार्थकता हिन्दू पौराणिक और आध्यात्मिक परंपरा में गहरी जड़ों से बनी है।

राजा सिकंदर ने की थी स्थापना
किवदंती के अनुसार इस मंदिर की स्थापना सिकन्दर ने की थी तथा मंदिर से कुछ दूरी पर उसका राजमहल हुआ करता था जिसके अवशेष आज भी यहाँ देखे जा सकते हैं.

भूकम्प से तहस-नहस हुआ था मंदिर
माँ भभौरी का यह मंदिर 1905 में आये विनाशकारी भूकम्प में तहस- नहस हुआ था. उस समय कांगड़ा में भयानक तबाही हुई थी. उसके बाद स्थानीय लोगों के सहयोग से मंदिर कमेटी का निर्माण किया गया और मंदिर के जीर्णोद्धार के लिए प्रयास किए गए. कमेटी और स्थानीय लोगों के सहयोग से इस मंदिर का निर्माण दोबारा हुआ.

टनल का कार्य हुआ था कैंसल
जानकारी के अनुसार जब ऊहल तृतीय चरण परियोजना का टनल चुल्ला तक बनना था तो इस पहाड़ी के नीचे एक बड़े तालाब का पता चला था जिसकी वजह से यहाँ इस पहाड़ी से टनल का कार्य कैंसल हुआ था.

आषाढ़ में लगते हैं मेले
माँ भभौरी के प्रांगण में आषाढ़ में प्रथम प्रविष्टे से लेकर तीन प्रविष्टे तक माँ के तीन दिवसीय मेलों का आयोजन होता है जिसमें स्थानीय और दूसरे गाँवों के लोग बढ़चढ़ कर भाग लेते हैं. भजन कीर्तन के बाद भक्त यहाँ प्रसाद भी ग्रहण करते हैं.

मंदिर विकास के लिए प्रयासरत है कमेटी
माँ भभौरी कमेटी के प्रधान बृज मोहन ठाकुर और माता भमभोरी युवा मोर्चा के निर्माण कर्ता अरुण कुमार का कहना है कि मंदिर के विकास के लिए माता भमभोरी युवा मोर्चा ओर कमेटी दिन रात प्रयासरत है. कमेटी के सहयोग से और स्थानीय युवाओं द्वारा मंदिर में सराय, रसोईघर,बाथरूम,टायलट और एक ऑफिस का निर्माण किया गया है मंडी और कांगड़ा के लोगों की माँ भभौरी आराध्य देवी हैं.

मंदिर तक है सड़क सुविधा
वर्तमान में माँ भमभोरी मंदिर कच्ची सड़क सुविधा से जुड़ चुका है. यह सड़क छोटे वाहनों के लिए है तथा गाहरा नामक स्थान से लिंक जाता है और सड़क की कुल लम्बाई पौने पांच किलोमीटर है.

Jai Maa Bhambhori

Maa Bhambhori is also known as Bharmouri, as per the belief that she arrived in this beautiful mountain from Bharmour.

Famous as Bharmouri Maa
According to folklore, Maa Bhambhori was initially known as Bharmouri when she arrived from Bharmour. Over time, the name gradually transformed, and she became renowned as Bhambhori. Maa manifested herself in this scenic mountain alongside the Nagorn and Khajur villages of Ladhadhol, becoming the revered goddess for the local people who worship and seek her protection.

Maa Bhambhori in Hindu Culture
In Hindu cultural and religious tradition, Mata bhambhori is considered an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Parvati is the divine consort of Lord Shiva. Devotees believe that worshiping Maa Bhambhori is equivalent to receiving the grace and blessings of Goddess Parvati. The profound connection between devotees and Maa Bhambhori is deeply rooted in Hindu mythological and spiritual traditions.

Established by Raja Sikandar
According to legend, Raja Sikandar established this temple, and remnants of his palace can still be seen not far from the temple.

Temple Reconstruction after Earthquake
The temple faced extensive damage during the catastrophic earthquake of 1905. At that time, Kangra experienced severe destruction. With the support of the local community, the temple committee initiated the reconstruction of the temple and worked towards its restoration. The committee, along with local residents, played a crucial role in rebuilding the temple.

Cancellation of Tunnel Project due to Lake Discovery
During the third phase of the tunnel project, when the tunnel was supposed to reach Chulla, a large lake was discovered beneath this mountain. Consequently, the tunnel project was canceled due to the presence of the lake.

Annual Fairs in Ashadh
Maa Bhambhori courtyard hosts annual fairs from the first entry in Ashadh to the third entry. People from local and nearby villages actively participate in these three-day events. After devotional songs and hymns, devotees partake in the Prasad offerings.

Committee's Efforts for Temple Development
Brij Mohan Thakur, the head of Maa Bhambhori Committee, and Arun Kumar, a contributor to Mata Bhambhori Youth Forum, state that continuous efforts are being made day and night for the development of the temple. With the support of the committee and local youths, facilities like a hostel, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and an office have been constructed within the temple premises.

Temple Accessible by Road
Currently, Maa Bhambhori Temple is accessible by a dirt road, suitable for small vehicles, linking to Gahara. The total length of the road is approximately five kilometers.

Established on January 16th, 2023, by founder Mr. Arun Kumar Ji, Mata Bhambhori Yuva Morcha (MBYM) is dedicated to advancing the development of Mata Bhambhori Temple. With a primary focus on infrastructure projects, the Morcha enhances facilities around the temple, including accommodations and kitchen facilities. Cultural preservation is paramount, with MBYM organizing events and festivals to celebrate the temple's rich heritage. Through community outreach, the Morcha addresses local needs, contributing to the welfare of the surrounding areas. Arun Kumar Ji's visionary leadership guides MBYM, inviting individuals passionate about community service and cultural preservation to join in making Mata Bhambhori Temple a symbol of spirituality and community development.
